Personal statement

There are a few common misconceptions about mental health problems that may have already delayed you seeking help. Perhaps you have held off because you are worried about stigma and being stuck with a label. Maybe it’s because others have told you that mental illness is incurable and lifelong. Well, none of the above has to be true. In fact, most mental health problems are transient and easy to treat especially if you get help as soon as possible. And with the right care, future episodes can be prevented.

Dr Kang’s approach involves getting to know you as a whole person and how your challenges may be presenting in this context. So many aspects of our life can affect our mental health so there is never a one size fits all solution. However, by working with you to find out what’s important to you, together you can find a treatment programme that suits your needs and helps turn a crisis into a catalyst for positive transformation.

Dr Kang looks forward to serving you.
