Explore the hospital
Our hospital is located within a beautiful and historic English site, dating back to 1902.
We believe our discreet central London location is an ideal setting for you to feel confident to explore your mental health and emotional issues. The environment of our comfortable therapy and consulting rooms are designed to support a safe, caring, and confidential experience for group therapy, 1:1 therapy, or family therapy.
Each inpatient has its own room, equipped with an en-suite toilet and bath or shower.
Each room has a television installed with Freeview programmes. Our housekeeping staff cleans all rooms on a daily basis, providing fresh towels and basic bathroom amenities such as body wash and shampoo. Each ward has a laundry room for patients to wash their clothes, with detergent provided. There are also tumble dryers available to dry clothes. Professional laundry and dry cleaning services are available for an additional cost.
Each ward has its own kitchen and is equipped with basic appliances such as a fridge, microwave, and kettle. Cutlery, plates, and cups are provided along with a variety of teas, coffees, loaves of bread, jams and biscuits.
There is a communal lounge area on each ward that includes a television (installed with extensive sport and entertainment channels on Skyview), books and board games to be utilised on breaks between groups or in the evenings.
Larger private suites are available at the hospital at an additional cost for those seeking additional comfort and privacy. For more information on this, please contact our Patient Services Team.
The hospital’s restaurant is located in a bright conservatory, which offers courtyard views. The restaurant offers an extensive daily menu, all of which are cooked in house by our head chef and the team. Breakfast offers a selection of traditional English and continental items including cereals, yoghurts, croissants, and made to order items such as omelettes.
At lunch and dinner, two hot menu options (with a vegetarian option) are always available.
In addition to the daily menu options, a full salad bar, wholesome homemade soup, hot paninis, omelettes, and jacket potatoes are always available. If you have any food allergies or dietary requirements, please notify your nurse or our head chef directly.

Exercise is an integral part of overall health. The gymnasium is available for inpatient use, when not participating in group therapy programmes.
A personal trainer employed by the hospital will offer patients an initial assessment, and then tailor an exercise programme for them based on their current fitness level and goals.
Personal trainer sessions are free on Monday and Wednesday, and appointments start from 1 pm each day. All patients must have consent from their consultant psychiatrist before using the gym. For instance, as part of a specialist eating disorder treatment plan, patients may not be permitted to use the exercise facilities.
We have the convenience of an on-site pharmacy, located on the ground floor of the hospital. Our pharmacy is led by a team of pharmacists who specialise in mental health medication and are able to offer expert advice to both inpatients and outpatients.
We are able to arrange repeat prescriptions of medications, international delivery of medication, and couriers to deliver medication when needed. We pride ourselves on being able to maintain stock of all relevant psychotropic medications including specialist items, to ensure that the needs of the patient are always met.
‘Ask the pharmacist’ is a pharmacist-led discussion group, held on a weekly basis for inpatients, which provides patients with an opportunity to have a discussion about any aspect of their medication.
Our usual opening hours are: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
The pharmacy is closed on weekends and bank holidays.
If patients feel they would benefit from additional support throughout their inpatient stay, they can, at a supplementary cost, access additional therapies.
- Individual therapy (if they wish to have more therapy more than once per week)
- Specialist therapies (such as trauma therapy or clinical psychologists input)
- Couples counselling
Additionally, the hospital provides numerous well-being services in-house, which can be accessed at an additional cost:
- Bodywork therapies such as reflexology, lymphatic drainage massage, deep tissue/remedial massage, facial rejuvenation massage, organic skincare facial, hot stone massage, therapeutic and relaxation massage
- One-to-one personal training fitness sessions
Well-being therapies are proven to promote relaxation and stress relief, re-connect the mind and body, release muscular tension often associated with stress and anxiety as well as boosting the immune system.
