Professional experience

Suzanna is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor and currently works as part of the addiction team at The Nightingale Hospital. She has previously worked at several well-recognized organizations including MIND, the mental health charity and The Forward Trust, where she facilitated six-month drug and alcohol programs at The Mount, a male prison. There she worked alongside prison officers and probation services to give the best possible rehabilitation for inmates. She has also worked in an NHS setting in a women’s centre, where she saw clients for an IAPT service

Personal statement

Suzanna works in a person-centered way. She specialises in addiction but also sees clients for various other issues to explore what is behind their anxiety, depression and to build self esteem.

She provides a safe non-judgmental space to allow clients to talk about any current challenges they are facing and to look back on their life to identify patterns of relating and ways of being in the world. She believes this holding experience to be at the heart of change and overcoming difficulties.

Additional information about research, publications and interests

Suzanna is interested in the importance of processing grief and loss in order to have new beginnings and wrote her dissertation on this theme.
