Nightingale Hospital has a wealth of experience in welcoming international and VIP patients seeking treatment at our central London hospital. Our experienced Patient Services Team will assist you in coordinating treatment as an outpatient or an inpatient at the hospital.

Inpatient treatment

When you arrive in London for inpatient treatment, we will arrange for you to be privately transported from any London airport (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, London City or Luton, and taken to the hospital. We will also collect from St Pancras International Railway Station (Eurostar terminal location) which is approximately a 15-minute taxi ride from the hospital, or from any London mainline railway stations.

A member of our Patient Services Team will meet and welcome you to the hospital upon your arrival. You will then be guided through the admission process, before being shown to your room. A member of the nursing team will also provide you with a tour of the hospital facilities.

All inpatients will have their own private room with an ensuite bathroom including a shower and/or bath. For those patients seeking additional privacy, large private suites can be arranged at a supplementary cost.

During your stay at Nightingale Hospital, inpatients are looked after by a multi-disciplinary team of consultant psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, doctors and other mental health professionals. Some of these members directly involved in your care are able to consult in different languages. If required, we are able to provide translator services, to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

For families accompanying loved ones, the hospital’s central London location is close to many well-known London tourist attractions. A huge range of hotels, to suit all budgets and tastes are nearby, as well as a vast array of shopping locations.

Outpatient treatment

Nightingale Hospital offers numerous ways in which patients can access expert support remotely. This includes video consultations with consultant psychiatrists, and one-to-one and group sessions with therapists utilising online video platforms such as Zoom and Skype.

We have over 60 consultants and 80 therapists at the hospital, some of whom are the most trusted names in psychiatry.  A number of our experts are able to consult in various languages; therefore, our aim will be able to match you with a clinician who meets your individual language needs.

Follow up treatment

Once you leave Nightingale hospital, our consultant psychiatrists and therapists will be able to continue supporting you anywhere in the world via the use of online video platforms.

This provides for excellent continuity of care and ensures that you remain cared for after you leave Nightingale Hospital.

Funding treatment

Nightingale Hospital is accredited by all major private medical health insurers and works with many different medical insurance and medical assistance companies from all over the world.

Prior to admission for treatment, patients who are funding treatment via private medical insurance, will be asked to provide policy details so that their individual level of cover can be estimated and pre-authorisation for treatment obtained.

In addition, the hospital accepts self-funding patients as well as those funded by embassy employers, management companies, and other third parties.
