My professional experience:
I joined Nightingale Hospital London in 2004 and have an MSc in Health Psychology and MSc. in Counselling Psychology. I am a registered psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
I specialises in treating Depression and Anxiety Disorders including OCD and phobias and panic. Other areas of treatment interest: adjustment to diagnosis of physical illness, depression and anxiety from retirement, healthy sustained weight management, finding better work – life balance, psychological problems relating to disorganisation/procrastination, stress management, dealing with traumatic life events and relationship problems.
My personal statement:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) underpins my work, whilst my in-depth training in general psychology offers clients greater insights and understanding into underlying psychological processes that contribute to the development and maintenance of psychological disturbances. I believe strongly in the importance of developing a collaborative and therapeutic relationship, working with clients to help them empower themselves to move forward.
