Professional Statement:

I am an accredited psychotherapist holding experience across a variety of services, including the NHS, Charity Foundations, Forensic Services, Occupational Health Services and private healthcare. Using a protocol informed, formulation approach to treatment planning, interventions are bespoke to the client, including co-morbid and transdiagnostic presentations.

I work to high standards of practice in line with the BABCP requirements, underpinned by a strong commitment for regular updating of knowledge, skills and practice while adhering closely to NICE guidelines and recommendations, alongside a focus on continued professional development

My competencies include delivering evidence-based CBT treatment to clients presenting from across a range of common mental health issues, including Depression, Chronic Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Panic disorder, Agoraphobia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Specific Phobias, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), Trichotillomania, and Stress-related Disorders arising from workplace factors.

My commitment to the delivery of consistent high-quality, evidence-based care, sensitively and compassionately is achieved through my knowledge, skills and experience, and communicating respectfully and mindfully in the interests of strengthening resilience and building healthy self-esteem. Working comorbid and trans diagnostic is helpful where appropriate, for example, where low self-esteem and perfectionism may be underlying mechanisms and features of a presenting issue.

Personal Statement:

I hold a commitment to clinical excellence. This means that I consistently seek ways to provide the highest quality treatment and care for individuals presenting into the Service. I achieve this with consistent updating my knowledge of clinical research to expand and develop my existing skills. Furthermore, my approach involving facilitating clients in their recovery, is achieved by encouraging clients to feel an active part of the process, rather than a passive recipient of a service. In my experience, where the client feels they are able to participate, the process becomes more meaningful, and helps empower the clients in their recovery.
