My professional experience:

I have specialised in Addiction Psychiatry for twenty years, having obtained a medical degree from London University and completing my training in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry at London’s Charing Cross Hospital Medical School.

My career has spanned the NHS, charitable and private sectors, with experience in treating clients in the UK but also working internationally for the European Commission and UNODC.

In 2006 I developed Triage Healthcare which provides free advice, onward referral and self-help materials to people throughout the UK with addiction problems as well as residential treatment for publically as well as privately funded individuals.

I held the positions of London Medical Lead and Deputy Medical Director for the UK’s major provider of charitable services for people with substance misuse problems, CGL between 2013 and 2016.

I work as director of the Harley Street Alcohol Clinic and have referral relationships with private practitioners and clinics in London and across the UK.

My personal statement:

I am a private psychiatrist for people with addictive behaviours and associated mental health conditions. I provide an experienced, discreet and holistic programme of care, focusing on all contributing factors to my patients’ conditions. All of my patients are protected by strict confidentiality privilege, never judged, and always respected. I am insured by all the major insurance companies in the UK.

I am the author of several books on compulsive and addictive behaviours and have published various research papers on subjects including Best Practice Treatment of Substance Misuse, How to Enjoy Life Without Alcohol and How to Motivate Someone to Seek Help for Alcoholism.
