Women and Mental Health

We are holding a breakfast event on the 24th of May at 7 am at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel.

Dr Henrietta Bowden-Jones will deliver a presentation on Women’s Mental Health. She quoted: ‘This talk will outline gender issues in mental health, specifically highlighting issues GPs might wish to consider when treating women with mental illness.’

This article from Mentalhealth.org.uk explains that treatments must be sensitive and reflect gender differences. Some mental health issues are more commonly affecting women as factors of women’s mental health problems are different from men.
