Every inpatient undergoes an initial assessment on their first day so we can develop a tailor-made treatment programme that meets their specific needs. This assessment will be undertaken by the consultant, ward doctor and a therapist. After this, patients will receive full treatment from a highly qualified, experienced, multi-disciplinary team who will work with them to facilitate recovery.
We have four inpatient units located in the main hospital:
Each unit has a team of nurses and a ward doctor who work alongside all our consultant psychiatrists. In addition to our therapy services, we have extended our service offering with an Enhanced Wellbeing Programme to support the recovery process. This programme provides sessions on a variety of wellbeing themes including sleep and energy, self-image, mindfulness, fitness and exercise, diet, aromatherapy, acupuncture, art therapy, massage and yoga.
Throughout their stay, inpatients are continually monitored and any necessary changes to care plans and medication are quickly implemented. At discharge, an individually-tailored after-care plan is devised in conjunction with the patient. It is important to us that a patient’s relationship with the hospital does not end when they are discharged and therefore we offer patients the choice of stepping down to a day care programme, and/or outpatient care in addition to free after care support groups for one year after treatment
