Memory assessment

We provide a holistic approach to mental health which enables issues and problems to be identified and resolved successfully. Memory problems can affect people at any age.

We understand that fear of memory loss can prevent seeking help but early diagnosis of dementia is vital so that individuals and their families and carers receive treatment, support and care to maximize quality of life. Individuals will also have more opportunity, choice and control over their care and future plans.

If you have the slightest worry or any concerns please contact the Capio Nightingale Hospital Admissions Department on 0800 783 0594 as soon as possible to book an appointment.

Next steps:

The admissions department will book your initial assessment with a specialist at your earliest convenience. It will last approximately one hour followed by any required blood tests and scans. 2/3 weeks later, a follow up session will happen to discuss the diagnosis and any necessary treatment plan with you. Thereafter it is likely you will meet with the consultants every 3-6 months. Supporting therapies and any medication will be offered through the hospital.
