Gambling addiction is a problem which requires specialist help. Our specialist Gambling Addiction service provides evidence-based treatments to help overcome this problem. We help to arrest gambling behaviours immediately to stop any progression of the condition. We offer powerful therapy programmes led by our specialist multidisciplinary team that focus on permanent recovery. Compulsive gambling is a behaviour that can be changed once insight is gained into the reasons behind the problem.
We provide a range of residential, day therapy or outpatient treatment programmes which are designed to help break the cycle of gambling, recognise the cause of the problem, promote recovery and improve the quality of life of our patients. Our programmes are flexible and adapted to individual needs and treat allied problems such as depression, stress, fatigue and alcohol and drug addiction. We offer support with a range of life problems including debt management and self-esteem. Patients receive education on the gambling problem and relapse prevention. London's first problem gambling support group was launched at the Capio Nightingale in February 2008. The group is facilitated by therapists with specialist experience.
