We treat the physical and psychological problems that result from drug abuse
Admitting or recognising your addiction is the largest and hardest step. Here at Capio, we can help you take that vital step in beating your addiction.
Our specialist Drug Addiction service provides treatment for drug misuse and addiction to substances including cannabis, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, crystal meth and amphetamines. We treat both the physical and psychological problems that result from drug abuse to help you regain a life free from addiction. All our treatments are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of experts who place a strong focus on drug education and relapse prevention.
A comprehensive treatment programme is available for inpatients, day patients or outpatients. We offer a safe and comfortable detoxification and provide an intensive and comprehensive assessment of each patient’s physical, psychological and social needs. The programme is based on a powerful integrative approach incorporating cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement therapy (MET), and 12 step facilitation (TSF). All our patients have access to our physical health and wellbeing programme.
At Capio Nightingale, we recognise the need for a practical treatment programme and we provide support for a range of life problems including family problems, employment and financial concerns. We also extend support and care to partners and families. Detoxification is the first step in treatment if a patient is physically dependent on drugs. This can be provided as an inpatient or outpatient service and is supervised by trained medical specialists.
Rehabilitation treatment involves group and individual therapy and addresses the reasons behind patient’s drug use and attitude to drugs. This treatment encourages self-esteem, relapse prevention, development of support systems and an awareness of problems resulting from drug addiction. Relapse prevention helps patients avoid a return to drug use. People most commonly relapse when they experience a negative emotion such as frustration, anger, anxiety or depression. We provide patients with the skills and tools to maintain a lifetime recovery.
