Drug Addiction

Our specialist Drug Addiction service provides evidence-based treatment for the physical, emotional and psychological problems that result from drug abuse.

Admitting or recognising a problem with drugs is the largest and hardest step in the recovery process. It is the first step to stop the dramatic personal cost of drug dependency on individuals, their health, and their families.

Capio Nightingale Hospital can help you take that vital step towards recovery and help you regain a life free from addiction.

Treatment

Our specialist Drug Addiction service provides treatment for drug misuse and addiction to substances including cannabis, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, crystal meth and amphetamines. We treat both the physical and psychological problems that result from drug abuse to help you regain a life free from addiction. All our treatments are provided by a multi-disciplinary team of experts who place a strong focus on drug education and relapse prevention.

Our success in treating patients is achieved by using our individualised treatment programmes in combination with therapies that are based on contemporary clinical evidence. We employ a biopsychosocial approach using CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), MET (Motivational Enhancement Therapy) and TSF (Twelve Step Facilitation). We detox, motivate, educate, support and promote positive and constructive thinking in a group setting.

Treatment is the first step, but maintenance is the key to long term recovery, so relapse prevention is a vital component. Anyone can
undergo treatment, but relapse in the outside world is the greatest danger. With this in mind treatment does not end on discharge, we offer a step down day care programme, individual counselling to fortify and prolong motivation, plus free aftercare groups for patients and family members.

All our patients also have access to our Enhanced Wellbeing Programme
