So what do you do if you see the signs of a tech-addicted child?

Dr Richard Graham, head technology consultant at Nightingale Hospital, a private mental health hospital in London, which runs a specialist clinic dedicated to technology addiction explains that, as technology is so deeply integrated into our lives now, the hospital’s focus is more on teaching children to use devices in a moderate, non-destructive way.

‘More of us are more and more immersed with different devices, so we have to look at it differently. More often we are now looking at how to live with devices, rather than how to cut them out.’”

Two key signs of Technology Addiction

  • Sleep deprivation
  • Loss of interest in other things
