Barry is very experienced in working with trauma, severe depression, substance abuse and chronic anxiety. Barry has been at Capio Nightingale Hospital for 5 years working on the interpersonal therapy programme (IPT), group therapy addiction and eating disorder programmes. He also runs groups on stress management and calming techniques within the hospital. Barry has trained in a number of models including CBT, psychodynamic and EMDR. Before qualifying as a therapist, in 2002 Barry had a long career as a senior manager in business. He also lectures on the Addiction MSc Programme at LSBU.
Barry Smale is a student of Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit and has been authorised to teach by him.
