Dr Neelam Bakshi

Biography

Dr. Bakshi has been a Consultant psychiatrist  since 1995. She trained at Guy's and St. Thomas's Hospitals and was appointed Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Camden and Islington mental health trust since 1995 and Consultant Psychiatrist at Capio Nightingale Hospital since July 1995.
 

Dr. Bakshi is a general Adult psychiatrist. She has extensive training and works well with patients with complex needs. Her expertise lies in all aspects of General Adult Psychiatry, and Substance Misuse and Eating Disorders,  Personality disorders with challenging behaviour, various forms of psychotherapy, and in mindfulness based cognitive therapy.  She is trained in different psychotherapies. She has special interest in Bipolar Disorder. She has post graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is interested in women’s mental health disorders.
 

She also writes expert medical reports for the purposes of the Courts.
 

She was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2009.
