Biography

Dr Navina Evans qualified in London, graduating in Medicine from Guy's Hospital and later training in General Psychiatry at St Mary's Hospital and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Barts and the Royal London Hospitals. She has held Consultant posts since 1998 and is currently Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director in the East London and City NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Barts and The London Medical School. Navina has trained in systemic family therapy and forensic psychotherapy.

Navina has worked in private practice in Central London for four years. Her special interests are in the management of depressive and anxiety disorders, self harm, eating disorders, developmental disorders including ADHD and autistic spectrum disorders and psychotic illness in adolescence and young adults. She has experience in working with staff groups and takes an active role in education and training. She has presented at conferences and has published on service-related matters.
