Dr Kamal Gupta completed his higher training in General Adult Psychiatry from Bombay University in 1986. He completed his membership in Dublin.
He is a Visiting Psychiatrist to Practitioner Health Programme, a service providing mental health care to sick Doctors and dentists in London.
He has throughout his career maintained a keen interest in both the biological and psychotherapeutic schools and utilises an integrated treatment model in delivering care. He has expertise in the psychodynamic, cognitive analytic, behavioural motivational and solution focused schools. He is able to communicate in several Indian languages and given his background and working experience is well placed in addressing issues in clients from a variety of cultures including those from the Middle East and The Indian Sub-Continent.
Dr Gupta has run a part-time private practice at Capio Nightingale Hospital since 2000.
