Dr John Besson has been a Consultant Psychiatrist with the NHS for 32 years (14years as Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry and 18 years as Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry) until retiral in 2009 and held the post of Wellcome Senior Lecturer between 1981 and 1985.
